Employees of Angel MedFlight, along with their friends, family and pets, will join the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and 20,000 other walkers on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. for the Phoenix Walk to Cure Diabetes at Tempe Town Lake.
This year, JDRF is saying “Boo! to Diabetes,” and hopes to reach its fundraising goal of $2 million. Since 1970, JDRF has provided more than $1.3 billion to diabetes research worldwide. More than 80 percent of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and related activities.
“This is a terrible disease that impacts our friends, family members and clients,” said Michael Ward, Angel MedFlight’s Associate General Counsel. “We are proud to be a key sponsor of this year’s walk and to be joining so many others in the effort to find a cure.”
At the walk you’ll enjoy live music from local bands, free massages, face painting and magicians in the Kids Fun Zone and you can visit the Angel MedFlight booth for some free giveaways. Angel MedFlight will have a FREE drawing for two (2) Phoenix Suns tickets and a Phoenix Suns jersey.
