St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center to Accept Donated Medical Flight at 12/21 Phoenix Suns Game

PHOENIX, Ariz.—Dec. 17, 2009—This holiday season, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center will receive a gift that may save a child’s life. Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance will donate a medical flight to St. Joseph’s for a critically ill or injured pediatric patient whose family cannot afford to transport their child to the renowned Phoenix hospital. Patients frequently come from across the country for specialized care at St. Joseph’s.

Mary Jane Crist, vice president of philanthropy, and Sister Margaret McBride, vice president of mission integration, will officially accept the complimentary medical flight from Angel MedFlight President and CEO Jeremy Freer during a halftime presentation at the December 21 Phoenix Suns basketball game. Spectators at the US Airways Arena will also have an opportunity to view a two-minute film featuring Angel MedFlight’s air ambulance service. Following the video, the Angel MedFlight critical care flight nurses and paramedics will take center court with Crist, McBride and Freer.

“We are honored to partner with St. Joseph’s Hospital to provide a medical flight for a child in need of treatment,” said Freer. “All of us at Angel MedFlight are passionate about helping patients and we are committed to providing the highest standard of care and service.  We have safely transported patients of every age: from a one-week-old infant to a ninety-seven-year-old senior citizen.”
