2010: Looking Back on a Great Year

As 2011 unfolds, all of us at Angel MedFlight are looking forward to another successful year. Here are a few of the achievements we celebrated in 2010:

We saw a 25% increase in the number of flights over 2009
Our Flight Coordinators handled it beautifully. They are the calm, compassionate, confident voices guiding callers through medical crises, and we thank them for their endless dedication!

We set new records

  • First triplet neonatal transport
  • Oldest patient: 101 years old!
  • Longest trip: more than 11,000 miles from the Cayman Islands to the Philippines

We were recognized by the communities we serve

  • BBB Business Ethics Award
  • Arizona Corporate Excellence Innovation Award
  • Named the third-fastest-growing, privately held company in Arizona by the ACE Awards

We acquired a new aircraft
The Learjet 35, N351AJ, is undergoing the meticulous 12-year, 12,000-hour inspections and renovation, and will be introduced into service as a medically configured air ambulance in 2011.

We shared our success

  • Angel MedFlight donated more than $48,000 to 10 different charities
  • In partnership with AZBAA, we established a $3,000 Scholarship for Excellence in Aviation
  • We volunteered at Challenge Air, Bowling for Brain Injury, Children’s First Academy Carnival

We celebrated our leader
None of our accomplishments would have been possible without the dream and the drive of our fearless leader, Jeremy Freer. In 2010, he was unstoppable.

  • The Phoenix Business Journal selected him as member of their Forty-Under-40 program
  • Ernst & Young named him as an Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist
  • He was featured in the Phoenix Business Journal and touted on the front page of the Arizona Republic as a true innovator

Thank you, Jeremy, for your determination to improving our industry, making air medical transport safer for us and our patients.

In 2011, we will continue to…

  • Ease the air medical transport planning burden for case managers and patient family members
  • Compassionately care for patients
  • Be a leader and innovator in air ambulance service
  • Raise the bar even higher
