Angel MedFlight Volunteers Help Phoenix Families in Need

More than 325 volunteers banned together as the Phoenix Valley Chapter of HOPE worldwide organized a day of food, service and amusement for 700 in-need individuals across the Valley.

The HOPE worldwide Carnival, held Saturday, Oct. 22, provided Phoenix-area disadvantaged families with nutritious meals and services like health and dental checkups, haircuts, massages, manicures and pedicures.

Angel MedFlight’s own Roberto, Kim and Darren were on hand, preparing food, handing out treats and greeting carnival goers.

“It’s an incredible thing to be able to help others get healthy food and basic services they may not normally have access to,” stated Roberto Antonio, Angel MedFlight’s Senior Claims Manager and HOPE worldwide Committee Board member.

The carnival festivities included games, music, concessions, face-painting, costumes, a magician, a juggler and the basketball-handling magic of the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters.

Angel MedFlight participated in the 2010 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service with HOPE worldwide, and we are thankful we could once again help Valley families in need. View pictures from the fun-filled day here.

HOPE worldwide is an international charity that changes lives through the delivery of community-based services to the poor.
