If you have ever had to endure hospitalization away from home, the frustration of dealing with insurance companies about what your plan covers, arrangement of medical transportation, and reviewing hospital billing can get overwhelming. To simplify your involvement, Angel MedFlight handles arrangements of medical transportation, insurance coverage, and Bedside-to-Bedside transfer – we call this the One Touch Promise.

We offer all of these services at no additional cost because we understand how stressful these tasks can be when emergencies arise and how important a stress-free recovery can be. Here are the top 5 reasons why Angel MedFlight is the #1 choice of so many patients:

#1: Record of safety

We are proud to claim ZERO incidents (flight or medical) since the company’s inception in 2007. Angel MedFlight has a Gold rating from ARGUS – This rating is awarded to operators who meet all Gold rating requirements, and have undergone an ARGUS on-site safety audit. The operator has been found to have effective and documented policies and procedures which should be conducive to safe future operations. #2: Knowledgeable flight crew

Brandon Kearns, Director of Operations for Aviation West Charters (dba Angel MedFlight) says the following regarding pilot training, “Each of Aviation West Charters Pilots have an Airline Transport Pilot Rating with a Type Rating in each aircraft that they fly. The crewmembers attend Simulator training for each aircraft they fly every year and undergo extensive company ground training as well as International Operations Training. Captains must have at least 3,500 hours of total time with more than 250 hours of Pilot in Command Time for each aircraft that they fly. First Officers are trained to Captain Standards and are evaluated with the same criteria that the Captains meet.”

Our medical flight crews consist of:

  • Registered Nurses with additional certification as Certified Flight Registered Nurses (CFRN)
  • Certified Emergency Paramedics (CEP) with Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C) or Critical Care Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (CCEMTP) training and Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)

#3: Most powerful air ambulances, the Learjet 60

Cruising through the air at a steady 484mph with minimal wind resistance, this air ambulance creates the ideal treatment environment of our crew and the patient. The Learjet 60 can travel worldwide as well, making it one of the most capable aircraft for those traveling abroad.

#4: Bedside-to-Bedside Service

From one hospital bed to another, Angel MedFlight medical staff come to a patient anywhere in the world, arrange pick up and transfer to the nearest airport, arrange pick up and transport to your destination. The medical crew will never leave a patient’s side until the accepting facility has fully prepared for each patient we bring in.

#5: Our Flight Coordination team

Angel MedFlight’s Flight Coordination team is behind every process of your flight and transfer. The flight crew consists of medically-trained personnel and RN’s that understand how medical facilities operate – making a patient’s transfer less complicated and much faster.

Insurance arrangements, intake and transfer forms between medical facilities, and specific patient information is provided to medical crews on each flight. All of these tasks are handled completely by Flight Coordinators. They are the backbone of Angel MedFlight’s One Touch Promise.

The results speak for themselves
