Today marks the 5th anniversary of the amazing “splash landing” on the Hudson. Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberg and co-pilot Jeff Skiles were able to pull off the impossible by safely making an emergency landing on the Hudson River. Moments after departing New York’s La Guardia Airport, the U.S. Airways jet encountered a bird strike and lost power in both engines. Together, Sully and Skiles successfully landed the plane on the river saving the lives of all 155 passengers on board.
We at Angel MedFlight salute you Captain Sully and First Officer Skiles!
